Owned by Bharat Hotels, the Grand Group of hotels is a major player in India’s hospitality business. Its present portfolio of hotels incorporates EIGHT luxury hotels in the country’s metro cities offering more than 1800 rooms in the five-star deluxe category. Group’s first venture was InterContinental The Grand New Delhi, a 444 room 5-star deluxe hotel located in the heart of Delhi.
Among the later addition to the groups are 255 room luxury resort in Goa, InterContinental The Grand Goa Resort and the 369 room super deluxe hotel, InterContinental The Grand Mumbai, in India’s commercial capital Mumbai. By 2009, the company is looking at offering more than 3800 rooms – with plans for hotels in Hyderabad, Amritsar and other key locations.
